April Monthly Meeting

April 20 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Our guest speaker will be Judith Batchelor. Judith has been passionate about family history since she was a teenager. After graduating from the University of Leicester where she studied history, Judith joined the Institute of Heraldic and Genealogical Studies, in Canterbury, England, to train professionally. She has taught classes in family history for many years and is currently a tutor with the Institute. She also has her own fortnightly column, Grow Your Family Tree, in Computeractive Magazine and as Genealogy Jude, runs her own successful blog on family history at www.genealogyjude.com.

Judith will present “Preserving Family History and Family Heirlooms.” This presentation is all about the practical steps family historians can take to ensure that we leave a rich legacy of stories, artifacts and research that can be passed onto future generations. We will be looking at how one’s family heritage can be saved, shared and treasured for years to come. Please join us on Saturday for what should be a very thought-provoking presentation.

Remember to bring your CCNGS member name badge so that you can take advantage of the 20% member discount at The Coffee Press (located directly across from the meeting room).
